CERAMICS OF ITALY BLOOMS AT SPRING TRADE SHOWS

Ceramics of Italy will make its first appearance at the HD Expo (May 15-17) in Las Vegas. The institutional booth #1860 will highlight new wall and floor collections from Italy's leading manufacturers ideal for hospitality settings. Atlas Concorde, Fap Ceramiche, Giovanni De Maio, Marca Corona, Mirage Granito Ceramico and Petracer's Ceramics will illustrate the versatility of their collections - from hard-wearing tile ideal for high traffic hotel lobbies and restaurants to anti-slip surfaces perfect for spas, pools, or outdoor terraces - in a series of mini-exhibits in the booth.

Immediately following the HD Expo, Ceramics of Italy will move to the east coast for the 24th Annual ICFF (May 19-22) at the J. Javits Convention Center in NYC. The multi-brand booth #1432 will house nine of Italy's tile manufacturers including: Atlas Concorde, Ceramiche Refin, Cooperativa Ceramica d'Imola, Cotto d'Este, Fap Ceramiche, Mirage Granito Ceramico, Palagio Engineering - Gruppo Vivaterra, Sant'Agostino and Settecento mosaici.

CERAMICS OF ITALY ANNOUNCES 2012 TILE COMPETITION WINNERS

Every year, the Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition showcases the work of prominent North American architects and designers who use Italian tile in their projects. The annual awards program, sponsored by Confindustria Ceramica and the Italian Trade Commission, continues to yield great results going into its 19th year. Submissions to the three categories - Residential, Commercial/Hospitality and Institutional - offered excellent and competitive projects for the international jury to consider. After carefully narrowing down the finalists, they have selected a winner and an honorable mention in each category based on the project's functionality, visual appeal, original use of tile and overall design. The winning projects all reflect how the A&D community is using Italian tile to move forward in terms of technology, aesthetics and sustainability. MORE
